Family Transitions Counseling has been going strong in business for over ten years, with offices in Pleasant Grove and Lehi, UT.  Although we are a generalist practice, working with people who struggle with a myriad of different issues, we have a particular love for helping married couples improve their marriage, addressing anxiety and depression, helping people navigate the complexities of divorce, managing pornography addiction, and helping clients cope with and work through grief and loss.  Many of our referrals come from bishops in the Church who have come to trust our work deeply and who have ward members who are struggling with a variety of different issues, including those listed above.

I have been providing outpatient counseling for 23 years since graduating from Washington University in St. Louis, the number one school of social work in the country, where I specialized in family therapy.  I have worked in other clinical settings while also building a private practice, including home health and hospice work and the Utah State Hospital on the forensic unit.  In those environments I learned much about mental health issues, death and dying, grief and loss, and family dynamics.  In my private practice I have thoroughly enjoyed working with married couples to resolve roadblocks in their marriage, and also on the other end of the spectrum, helping individuals recover after going through the pain and stigma of divorce.  Pornography issues are extremely common and very damaging to individuals, to say nothing of relationships, and over the years I have worked passionately to help people disentangle themselves from the trap of pornography addiction.  In addition to these challenges, I regularly help people suffering from depression, anxiety, anger issues, family and relationship challenges, addictions, and many other problems.  Regardless of the issues with which you may struggle, I would welcome the opportunity to work with you in getting the help and healing you seek.  Please visit our website at www.familytcc.com for more information about our practice!  We look forward to hearing from you soon!
