Heather is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. She has completed Gottman training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and she is a certified SYMBIS Assessment Facilitator for premarital coaching and counseling. Heather believes that everyone has the inner capabilities to problem solve and work towards self-fulfillment. Her approach to counseling is person-centered and solution-focused. She is eager to serve as a compassionate, collaborative partner in empowering individuals and couples with skills to meet the challenges and transitions they face through a goal-oriented approach.
Heather completed her Bachelor's degree in Marriage and Family Studies at Brigham Young University-Idaho and her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. Her education and training allow her to easily integrate a Christian counseling approach with psychological and family therapy processes. Heather served as a CASA in Collin County and has over a decade of experience teaching adolescents. She served on the board of a local food pantry, Neighbors Nourishing Neighbors, and assisted social workers at a local homeless shelter for children and young adults. Her passion is connecting with others and seeing them realize their potential.
