I provide individual, couples, and group therapy at my private practice in Issaquah, WA. I also provide teletherapy services for clients who wish to conduct therapy remotely.
I specialize in working with clients who are seeking relief from:
- Anxiety-related issues (Anxiety, panic attacks, religious OCD/ scrupulosity)
- Relationship distress (Considering divorce, infidelity, communication issues, lack of connection)
- Sexual issues (Compulsive pornography use, sexual dysfunction within a relationship)
With my compassionate and collaborative approach, I’ve helped hundreds of individuals and couples in their journey to find more harmony and peace in their own lives and in their relationships.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in both Washington and Utah. I received both my Bachelor’s (History) and Master’s (Marriage & Family Therapy) degrees at Brigham Young University. My graduate training included intensive and specific training with distressed couples and sexual issues. Since graduating, I have completed trainings in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and currently lead 8-week MBSR groups.
My love of clinical work and research has led me to author and coauthor several academic articles, and my studies have been showcased in the Journal of Sex Research, IGI Global, PsyPost, Psychology Today, KUTV and the Salt Lake Tribune. I have presented my award-winning findings at national and international conferences and am regular guest lecturer to undergraduate and graduate students.
I have worked in diverse clinical settings including large group practices, a sex therapy clinic, and in my own private practice. I recently volunteered for two years as a mental health consultant for the Barcelona, Spain LDS mission. In these settings I have worked with a wide range of client challenges, but have worked most frequently with the issues listed above.
I love what I do! I care deeply about my clients and find joy in creating meaningful relationships with them. Outside of work, I spend my time chasing around my littles (a girl and a boy) and laughing with my husband, Sam. I am originally from the Northwest but have lived in Utah, Chile, Mexico City, and Barcelona. I served an LDS mission from 2010-2012 in Concepcion, Chile and there gained a deep love for the Spanish language. I met my husband while working in Mexico City in 2013 and we were married two years later. We recently returned to the USA after living two years in Spain. I love to play pickle ball, eat ice cream, learn new skills (currently trying out sewing and carpentry), and spend time with my large extended family.
