Stephanie graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in psychology and received her Master of Social Work from Boise State University. She has experience working with individuals and families with diverse backgrounds in a variety of settings, including a women’s shelter, community foundations, community and agency group’s, intensive residential treatment center, court advocacy, the Department of Health and Welfare, and a private practice agency.
As a counselor, Stephanie’s holistic client-centered approach embraces the philosophy of every person’s capacity to learn, grow, improve, and change through recognition and application of innate strengths and virtues, and exploration of self-awareness. Her areas of experience include Anxiety, Depression, Grief and Loss, Trauma, PTSD, Parenting, Divorce, Women’s Issues, and more. She enjoys helping individuals and families flourish in the midst of challenges. Her approach includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Tapping, Mindfulness, Play Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and more.
