I’m originally from northern Minnesota and have lived in Idaho, Oklahoma, Mississippi, and now Utah. I earned my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Southern Mississippi in 2018 and I earned my Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Brigham Young University in 2021.
I am a practicing member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I identify as a bisexual, cisgender woman and love to CELEBRATE my queer community! My goal as a therapist is to help clients find healing from within to become empowered to make changes in their external world. My approach includes an element of play and/or art, to help clients have new emotional experiences through the therapeutic approaches of Internal Family Systems and Emotionally Focused Therapy.
My spouse, Evan, and I have been married for 13 years and are raising our sweet children, Dax & Lily, our dachshund mix Pepper, and our ornate wood turtle Gamera. I exuberantly enjoy being in the water (swimming, kayaking and canoeing), playing DND with my friends, reading books about therapy, and writing poetry.
