Kendal C Allsop, LCSW-S

Kendal is an independent, professional Mental Health Therapist with 30 years of experience. He believes everyone deserves contentment with themselves and their family life. Utilizing the client's faith and core values along with the right mental health tools and skills, he works with the client to better achieve their goals for a happier, healthier life. His specialties include Depression, Anxiety, Marital and Family issues, ADD/ADHD, Blended Families, Children & Teens, CBT, EMDR, Same Sex Attraction, Grief/Loss, Career adjustments, Pornography Addiction, and Digital Addiction.

He was nationally recognized for developing a program to provide services for patients without healthcare that saved one of the largest healthcare systems in the nation millions of dollars yearly. In addition, he started the first counseling and support program for Aphasia affecting patients and families in Houston and is one of a few therapists specializing in Aphasia treatment.

Kendal is currently the Director of LifeStar Houston, which helps clients overcome behavioral addictions. Also, as a state of Texas supervisor, Kendal oversees and provides training to those seeking to become independent therapists.

Over the last 20 years, he has been a frequent speaker on many subjects, including Life Coaching, Mental Health issues, and developed a community course for having a successful marriage and family life.

Kendal holds a master's in Administration and Clinical Social Work from the University of Utah and a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University. He enjoys Ultra Running and spending time with his family.
