I graduated from Utah State University as a member of Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology. I earned a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix as a member of Chi Sigma Iota Honor Society. I hold professional licensing in Arizona and Utah and am currently working with clients who live in both states in office or through telehealth.
I am dedicated to guiding individuals to develop their full potential while using an empathic and motivating approach to inspire hope for change in a comfortable therapeutic setting. I appreciate the great worth of each individual and believe that using a faith based, gospel centered approach to work through the challenges of life can be the avenue to personal growth and healing.
I work with adults, adolescents, and parents in a variety of areas including addiction, adjustment disorders, depression, anxiety, stress management, coping strategies, dysfunctional thought processes, positive parenting, grief and loss, interpersonal issues, self-acceptance, substance abuse, and trauma by using evidence based therapeutic interventions to teach positive, productive thought patterns, and healthy perspectives. Some of the interventions that I use are EMDR, CBT, ACT, DBT, Solution Focused, and Mindfulness.
I enjoy spending time with my children and beautiful grandchildren during family dinners, hiking, swimming, pickle-ball, and backyard wiffle ball games!
I am originally from Canada where my extended family still reside.
