Sister Jocelyn Orr was raised in the mountains of Haines Junction, Yukon, Canada. Growing up in this unique remote setting, life was simple, the environment was harsh, and she grew into a self-reliant, level-headedness and independent young woman. After leaving the north to begin her university education she investigated The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was baptized in 1981. She later married her husband and together they raised four children on their farm in southern Alberta. Professionally, Jocelyn has a Clinical Masters of Social Work (MSW) and she divides her time between working as a Mental Health Therapist for Alberta Heath Services and counselling in her busy private practice. She is an experienced group therapist and for 20 years she was involved in the development and success of a rigorous personal development and outdoor adventure program for teens. Jocelyn has trained and certified in many therapeutic modalities enabling her to become a powerful resource to southern Alberta. Her professional knowledge combined with her down to earth perspective, provides a unique blend of skill, sensitivity and strength.
