Hello! My name is Eliza McBride, and I’m a Nationally Certified Counselor. I completed my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and certificate in Trauma-Informed Services at Portland State University. Prior to my graduate degree, I completed a Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Women’s Studies at Santa Fe College and Brigham Young University.
I have experience working with individuals coping with anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, and stress related to life transitions and adjustments. I have extensive training in suicide intervention and working with survivors of domestic violence, childhood abuse and generational trauma.
As a first generation immigrant from the Philippines, and as a woman of color, I became interested in counseling because I realized the need for more representation in this field. Growing up, it was a challenge finding a counselor who could acknowledge or understand my different cultural backgrounds. I hope to encourage individuals, especially those from the margins, to seek help and know that culturally-informed therapy is available.
Individual Counseling is $90 for 50 minutes. A few sliding scale spots are reserved for individuals dedicated to weekly sessions.
