Claudia Cattaneo Auxier holds a master’s degree in counseling psychology. She worked as a School Counselor with the Latino population. Currently as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist she works as a bilingual (Spanish) dyadic therapist with first and second generations of immigrant families with intergenerational trauma and as a Mental Health Consultant in Early Childhood Services.
Born and raised in the working-class suburbs of Buenos Aires, she chose to be a Marriage and Family Counselor to better help families to help themselves, strengthening future generations. She previously worked in the airline industry as a leader of corporate training in Buenos Aires, and as a translator and conference interpreter. She also holds a bachelor’s and licentiate degree in Public Relations.
Claudia is currently writing a book about the cultural gap/clash founded in mainstream therapeutic approaches and unmet needs and considerations when working with people and families in the Latino population culture.
She is married and raising three children (14, 13, and 11 years old).
