Morning Light Counseling

Carrie specializes in treating depression, anxiety, marriage and family issues, trauma, sexual addiction, and betrayal trauma. She currently works in her private practice, Morning Light Counseling, in Sandy, Utah. Her counseling services are accessible through her website, Besides in-person counseling at her office, she is available for long-distance sessions on Zoom, Facetime, Skype, or phone.

Carrie is also a mental health educator, who has taught at BYU Education Week, AMCAP, and elsewhere for nearly 20 years on overcoming depression, anxiety, relationship problems, stress, and adversity. She is passionate about sharing powerful tools to help people heal from and overcome these problems – not just live with or manage them.

Carrie also runs a website,, which is an online resource library of articles, books, videos and other resources on a range of counseling topics. Carrie strongly believes that self-help information can be healing and freeing, and the dissemination of healing ideas can be a profound public service – sharing tools to help people help themselves and their loved ones. Even for those in professional treatment, self-help information can make the healing journey more efficient and effective. For this reason, she created Counseling Library, for use by her own clients, her past clients, and for the public.

Carrie is in the process of writing her first book, “The Happiness Toolbox: 16 Strategies for Overcoming Depression, and Building a Joyful, Fulfilling Life.” This will be available January 16, 2019 (reflective of the “16 Strategies.”) In the meantime, articles and videos related to the topic are being posted to her website,

Carrie is available as a counselor, life coach, marriage educator, mental health educator, and motivational speaker. Visit her websites and for further information.
