Sara

I have been in the counseling field for 22 years. I have extensive experience and training assisting clients who are experiencing emotional pain, grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, relationship problems, and addictions. My goal is to provide a safe, respectful environment where clients can examine their challenges and rediscover their strengths. I recognize that the first step to seek a therapist takes courage. My therapeutic style is direct but supportive. I recognize that every client's experience is unique. My therapeutic approach is tailored to address their specific concerns. With effort, you can rediscover your strengths and move forward to a happier life. My experience is in a variety of clinical settings providing me with a very broad exposure to a variety of mental health conditions. . I have worked in agencies, hospitals, schools, inpatient psychiatric facilities, EAP and have been in private practice since 2000. I incorporate principles of DBT, EFT, strength based and mindfulness based cognitive therapy in my practice. I recognize that therapy can be scary and yes, therapy is definitely work, but it may be the most rewarding work you'll ever do. Often, it is in the face of difficulties that we can create lives of joy, meaning, and deep connection.
