AMCAP Journal
Welcome to the Issues in Religion and Psychotherapy Online Journal
A Peer-Reviewed Journal for Latter Day Saint Mental Health Professionals.
This peer-reviewed, professional journal (formerly known as The AMCAP Journal) is dedicated to the scholarly investigation of the interface between religion and mental health practice. Over 30 years of values-based professional writing, generated by members and friends of AMCAP.
Since 1975, this journal has been a resource for AMCAP members and others interested in mental health insights, research, and techniques consistent with doctrine from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The journal contains articles reflective of AMCAP’s “commitment to spiritual and professional excellence,” and addresses a wide variety of clinical and psychological topics. Contents include AMCAP Convention talks, member research, theoretical papers, and General Authority writings.
Thanks to all the men and women who have contributed to these volumes over nearly four decades. As this information is made available to a worldwide audience, may it nourish a whole new generation, and make an even broader difference for good in the decades to come.
Submit a Paper for Review
All AMCAP member clinicians and academicians are invited to submit papers for review. If you have presented at an AMCAP convention, please consider reworking your presentation into a scholarly article format. This can be done as a sole author or in collaboration with another author. AMCAP would like to foster scholarly collaborations between clinicians and academicians, so please contact AMCAP if you are interested in collaborating with a fellow member.
