I am a Psychologist and a Professor Emeritus at the University of Utah School of Medicine. I am currently in private practice three days a week. I have been President of the International Society for Neurofeedback & Research and a past President of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. I am board certified in neurofeedback, EEG and quantitative EEG brain mapping, psychological hypnosis, and sex and marital therapy. I have more than 180 professional publications, including counseling textbooks, a leading hypnosis textbook, and the only book on artifacting quantitative EEG brain maps. I also co-authored the book Memory, Trauma Treatment, and the Law. Currently I am primarily doing neurofeedback treatment for anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, insomnia, addictions, PTSD, TBI and concussions, and OCD. I enjoy serving as an ordinance worker in the Jordan River Temple and on the advisory board for the BYU Studies New Testament Commentary Series of books.
