Raymond Wagstaff

Hello, I am Raymond Wagstaff and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor based in Salt Lake City, Utah. I like to feel that the therapeutic experience I work in is about others personal growth. I received my Masters in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix. Before I began my work on my master’s I had started a career working with individuals who were working on overcoming substance abuse and addiction. To increase my understanding of this behavior I attended course work with the University of Utah School of Social Work in substance Abuse Treatment which gave me a special certificate. I have since worked with many different individual who were experiencing issues such as grief, depression, anxiety, anger issues, gambling issues, self esteem concerns, relationship issues and transition in life issues due to aging or the isolation that come with this. I have received training in cognitive behavioral therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and techniques in working with PTSD. To further assist individuals in understanding the difference they are searching for in their lives I became certified in EMDR(Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) from Trauma Recovery/HAP (1501). I understand that it can feel uncomfortable being asked to share your personal experiences and feelings with someone you have never really met before. I try to practice as the apostles of the New Testament in Romans 12:10 to have kindly feelings toward others and as Christ has encouraged us in D&C77:12 that he is the judge of us and that we ought to love one another. Because of this I practice to not judge others for their decisions or choices. My goal is to work to assist you in making yourself whole and encourage your healing from your concerns.
