AMCAP needs you! PDF Print E-mail
We Need YOU in AMCAP’s Area Coordinator Network

AMCAP Area Network consists of over 45 area coordinators located around the world.  The primary goal of the AC network is to ensure that AMCAP members wherever they live can feel a part of the AMCAP organization.  Recent AMCAP initiatives are creating excitement among AMCAP members world wide.  Specifically, the ability for AC’s in outlying areas to plan conferences for professionals or members of the church is increasing and improving.  We are creating a boundary system that will help Area Coordinators feel more supported and more connected.  Finally, Our website is undergoing a major upgrade in appearance, content and overall functionality.  This will make Networking with other AMCAP members more practical and easy.  Instead of “another meeting”—think I can logon to the AMCAP website and connect with a colleague, look up a motivating and spirited AMCAP presentation, or update my profile so others in my community can know of my clinical specialties.  These initiatives are at the very moment being developed and implemented.

I get excited when I think of the amazing influence for good AMCAP can have as an organization and within our families, communities, and places of employment. Remember in 2007 when Thomas S Monson received the “Distinguished Service to Humanity Award” from AMCAP he invoked a blessing on the members of AMCAP and the organization as a whole.  Our mission is grand.  Our efforts are blessed.  Let us all commit to establish the gospel throughout the word.  Please volunteer for a position listed below:

  1. Area Coordinator Executive Committee— the responsibilities of this committee include: establishing regular contact with area coordinators around the world, responding to needs of area coordinators, update the website area pages, assist the Vice President in visionary planning to strengthen the AC network.  Most contact will be by email with face-to-face meetings occurring at least twice a year or as needed.
  2. Area Coordinator—responsible for AMCAP membership in a geographical area; create a directory of members; establish regular contact by email, phone, and chapter meetings.  Assess the mental health needs of LDS members in this area.  Brainstorm ways your chapter can respond to these needs.  Be a leader and support of AMCAP in your area.

If you have interest in either of the above positions, we would greatly appreciate your desire to serve.

Please contact AMCAP today!
